05 — Private Prosecution
Private ProsecutionHolding wrongdoers to account where the state will not.
Where the police or CPS decline to act, the law allows private individuals and businesses to bring criminal proceedings themselves. We prepare and conduct private prosecutions across a range of offences, from fraud and theft to harassment and assault.
We work closely with forensic accountants, investigators and senior counsel to build cases that meet the criminal standard of proof. Every matter is assessed against the Full Code Test before charge to ensure proceedings are properly grounded.
